img 7

Stitching together:

Place top and bottom panels, wrong sides together, your top panel will “bubble” and it will

not lie flat like the bottom. Just stitch the edge of the top to the edge of the bottom and it will work out. This part will be a bit tricky as you have more top stitches than bottom stitches, just do your best to keep them even and double up your stitches into your bottom panel.

Place stitch markers joining the first and last stitches of row 1 on your bottom panel to row 5 of your top panel so those will line up as you stitch around. [img 8]

img 8

Special notes:

·         stitch 2 sc into the first and last st of row 27 of your bottom panel

·         do not over stuff as you want your bottom panel to be able to lie flat

ch 1, sc around

sl st to first sc

Fasten off, weave in ends

Finishing:

Using blue, sew row 1 of your tail fins to the tail of the whale

Using blue, sew side A of your fins to the sides of the whale starting at row 14 [img 3]

Using light blue, sew your water fountain to the center of the top of your whale at row 15
