G Stuffie - Free Crochet Pattern

Materials Needed:

Yarn

· Worsted weight yarn, approx. 200yds/110g

Extras

· 3.50mm hook

· Scissors

· Tapestry Needle

· Stuffing


Stitches Key:

sc – single crochet

Inc – increase/2 single crochet in the same stitch

Dec – decrease/single crochet 2 together

sc3tog – single crochet 3 together

ch/s – chain/s

st/s – stitch/es

sl st – slip stitch


Gauge:

15.5 sc and 16 rows = 4 inches


Size:

Finished letter is approx. 15” tall by 10” wide


Notes:

·         Ch 1 at the beginning of each row does not count as st

·         ch 1 and turn at the end of every row unless otherwise marked

·         when stitching together the pieces make sure to stick your hook through BOTH pieces to make sure they’re sewn together and you will stitch in every row and stitch around the panels, applying any special notes indicated in that portion of the pattern

·         always attach yarn with a slip st into the wrong side of the last row made

Stitching together:

Place your panels, wrong sides together, make sure the letter is “the right way” facing towards you when stitching together.

 

ch 1, turn so your letter is facing the right way, sc around, applying special notes

 

Special notes [img 6]:

·         (sc, ch 1, sc) in:

o   each corner of row 36

o   the corner of row 26

o   the point of row 37

·         3 sc into the point on the right side of row 78

·         stuff firmly as you go

 

sl st to first sc

Fasten off, weave in ends.
